The Konpe prediction game ("Contest") is operated and administered by Cuoroom Inc., which determines winners and resolves any disputes. Sponsors fund prizes and advertise within Konpe; they do not operate the Contest, determine winners, or resolve disputes. Contact: info@cuoroom.com.
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A purchase will not increase your chances of winning. Winning depends on prediction skill.
Open to people who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry. Accounts held by users under 18 are not eligible to win, claim, or redeem any prize. Eligibility for prizes is determined by your US person tax status, not by the country you live in. People who are not US persons may play, appear on the leaderboard, and receive prizes, subject to the foreign winner tax rules in Section 11. Employees of Cuoroom Inc. and their immediate family members are not eligible. Void where prohibited by law.
Create a free account at Konpe, then predict match scores for any eligible matches before each match kicks off. There is no limit on the number of predictions you may submit (one per eligible match). Predictions lock at kickoff. They may not be changed afterward.
This is a contest of skill. Winners are determined by accurate predictions of actual match outcomes, not by random chance. The scoring system rewards exact score predictions more highly than correct result predictions, and correct results more than misses. Full scoring details are visible in the app.
Prizes vary by contest. Each contest publishes its own prizes, which may be cash, gift cards, or physical products provided by the contest or a sponsor. Prizes are sponsor funded giveaways. There is no entry fee and no wagering component. Published prize values are stated before tax, meaning they are gross of any tax we are required to withhold. A US winner under the reporting threshold in Section 10 receives the full value. The current World Cup 2026 contest has no cash prize; play it for bragging rights and a spot on top of the live leaderboard.
Winners are determined by leaderboard rank at the close of the tournament, after all matches have been played and scored. Every paid place pays a distinct amount, so a tie never splits a prize. Ties are broken by a fixed order: (1) total points, (2) most exact score predictions, (3) best result accuracy, (4) most points earned in knockout rounds, and (5) earliest account signup. Cuoroom Inc.'s decisions are final.
Cash prizes are paid to a verified PayPal account in a supported country. At launch the supported cash countries are United States, Spain, and Mexico, and the full list is published with these rules. Gift cards are delivered by email and reach most countries. Physical products require a valid shipping address in a serviceable country. We add more countries over time.
Potential winners are notified by email at the address on their Konpe account within fourteen (14) days of the tournament close. Before a prize is released, a winner may be asked to confirm identity, a payout account, tax forms, and a shipping address. Prizes are held until those are provided and are forfeited if unclaimed within the window published for that contest. Unclaimed cash payouts sent through PayPal automatically refund after 30 days of inactivity, which sets the outer limit of the cash claim window.
We do not withhold tax from US winners. We issue a Form 1099-MISC only if a single winner receives $2,000 or more from us in a calendar year, counting cash plus the fair market value of any noncash prizes. Winners are solely responsible for their own federal, state, and local taxes on prizes.
US law requires us to withhold tax (generally 30%) and to file a Form 1042-S on prizes paid to people who are not US persons. A valid W-8BEN with a foreign tax ID can reduce the rate for residents of some countries. For example, a resident of Spain can reach 0%, while a resident of Mexico stays at the 30% rate even with a W-8BEN. The countries whose residents can net the full value with a valid W-8BEN are: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czechia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and United Kingdom. Any country not on that list is withheld at the 30% rate. Because tax cannot be deducted from a gift card or a physical product, a foreign winner of a noncash prize may need to prepay the withholding before the prize is released, or the prize value may be adjusted.
We do not award or deliver prizes to any individual or jurisdiction barred by United States sanctions administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
Cuoroom Inc. reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest or these Rules if fraud, technical failure, or any other factor outside Cuoroom Inc.'s reasonable control impairs the integrity of the Contest. Cuoroom Inc.'s decisions regarding disqualification, scoring disputes, and prize awards are final and binding. By accepting a prize, the winner consents to the use of their name and likeness for promotional purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. By participating, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Cuoroom Inc.
These Official Rules are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Delaware.
