Cuoroom Inc. operates Konpe. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and your rights regarding that data. If you have questions, contact us at info@cuoroom.com.
When you sign in, we receive your email address, display name, and profile picture URL from your chosen sign in method (Google, Apple, or a one time email link). We store this information to create and maintain your Konpe account.
We also collect gameplay data: your match score predictions, bonus picks (group standings, champion, Golden Boot), and any custom prop answers you submit. This data is necessary to compute your leaderboard score and display your stats.
If you set up a prize payout, we collect the information needed to deliver a prize and to meet tax rules. When you connect a PayPal account, PayPal shares your PayPal account identifier, the email on that account, your name, and your account verification status, and we store them to send a cash prize. We also collect the tax status and tax form information you provide (for example whether you are a US person, your country, a treaty claim, and a taxpayer identification number), and, for a physical prize, the shipping address you enter. This information is used only to disburse prizes and to comply with tax and reporting obligations, and it is never shown to other players.
We use your data to: (a) create and maintain your account; (b) compute and display your leaderboard ranking and prediction statistics; (c) send important service notifications (e.g., prize eligibility) to your email address; and (d) improve the Konpe platform. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Supabase (Supabase Inc.), our infrastructure provider and data processor. Supabase processes data on our behalf under appropriate data processing agreements. Authentication sessions are managed via httpOnly cookies set by our server. Your credentials are never stored in the browser.
To deliver prizes and notifications we share the minimum necessary information with payment and messaging providers acting on our behalf: PayPal (PayPal Holdings, Inc.) to connect your account and send cash payouts, Tremendous (Tremendous, Inc.) when a prize is delivered as a gift card, and SendGrid (Twilio Inc.) to send email. Each processes data only to provide its service. We do not sell your personal data to any party.
We use httpOnly session cookies to keep you signed in across page visits. These are essential cookies required for the service to function. They are not used for advertising or tracking across other sites. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of the personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, email us at info@cuoroom.com with the subject "Data Request." We will respond within 30 days. Upon a deletion request, we will remove your account and associated personal data, except where we are legally required to retain records (e.g., prize tax records).
We retain your account data and gameplay history for the duration of the active tournament and for a reasonable period afterward to resolve disputes, process prizes, and comply with legal obligations. Anonymized aggregate statistics may be retained indefinitely.
Konpe is not directed at children or users under 18. If we learn we have collected personal data from a user under 18, we will delete that data promptly, except where we are legally required to retain limited records.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Konpe after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
